Pomegranate
The pomegranate (Punica granatum) is a fruit-bearing deciduous shrub in the family Lythraceae, subfamily Punicoideae, that grows between 5 and 10 m (16 and 33 ft) tall.
Small-grained, delicious and highly vitaminized pomegranate is generally grown in Mediterranean provinces such as Adana, Mersin and Muğla in our country.
Pomegranate, which is a fruit rich in vitamin C, strengthens the immune system.
The fruit, which has a red, thick skin, is filled with seeds and fruit.
It is a two to five meter tall tree that blooms red flowers in June-July.
